Obituary for Linda Everson

Mrs. Linda Victoria Cross Everson, age 67, a resident of Teter Avenue in Belington, departed this life Monday evening June 12, 2017 in the comfort of her home. She had been declining in health for quite some time.

She was born March 27, 1950 at Belington, WV, a daughter of the late Hensen Cross and Hope Yvonne Bedford Cross who survives in Belington. On July 31, 1966 she was united in marriage to Roger Joe Everson, who survives at their home.

In addition to her mother and her husband she is survived by three sons; Ronnie Everson and wife Angie of Philippi, Ricky and Mark Everson both of Belington, one daughter; Amanda Everson of Belington, one brother; Danny Cross and wife Freda of Belington, three sisters; Beuna Pomp and husband Mike of Belington, Barbara Summerfield of Belington, and Susan McMann and husband Bill of Marlinton, one brother-in- law; Michael Thomas of Belington, and one sister-in-law; Kathy Cross of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Derrick Everson, Dillion Everson, Ricky Joe Everson, Caitlyn Everson, Shawn Michael Everson, and Brandon Everson, and three great grandchildren; Jayden, Blay, and Taylor Everson.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death in death by one sister; Marlene Thomas, one brother; Ricky Cross, and one brother –in-law; Roger Summerfield.

Linda attended the schools of Barbour County and formerly worked as a hair dresser in Belington and was also
a homemaker. She attended the Faith Deliverance Ministries and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Philippi. She was very active with her granddaughter Caitlyn’s Pageant Career, where she spent many hours helping and assisting her. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Thursday June 15, 2017 from 4-9 pm and again on Friday June 16, 2017 from 8-11 am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Bob Ware officiating. Interment will then follow in the Barbour Memorial Cemetery near Belington. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.talbottfuneralhome.com.
