Daniel Allen Pennington

Mr. Daniel Allen Pennington, age 35, a resident of Junior departed this life Friday, November 24, 2017 in UMPC at Pittsburgh, PA following a period of declining health.

He was born December 29, 1981 at Elkins, a son of the late Berdette Lee Pennington and Wanda Lee Phillips Shiflett who survives at her residence in Jimtown. On January 8, 2003 at Elkins, WV he was united in marriage to the former Marlana Kathryn Prichard who survives at their home at Junior.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Elizabeth Snyder and Lakysha Jade Pennington of Junior, his step-father, Timothy Shiflett of Jimtown, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Bob Whetzel of Junior. Also surviving are two brothers, Benny Dale Pennington and wife Kelly of Parsons and Shane Pennington of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Pennington was a graduate of Tucker County High School, was formerly employed at Colonial Mill Work, was an avid hunter and fisherman and was very artistic.
He loved cooking, looking for good deals and enjoyed doing taxidermy work. Above all he had a desire to help other people and was a Christian by faith.

The family will receive friends from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Tuesday November 28, 2017 from 5-7 pm. At 7 pm a memorial service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Williams II officiating. As per Mr. Pennington’s request, his remains will be cremated. The interment of his cremains will be at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.talbottfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Talbott Funeral Home, PO Box 879, Belington, WV 26250 to assist with final expenses. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Daniel Allen Pennington.
