Obituary for Lilbern Pritt

Mr. Lilbern Pritt, age 87, a resident of Beargrass Lane near Junior and formerly of Shavers Run in Mill Creek, departed this life Saturday morning January 20, 2018 at his home near Junior, following a period of declining health.

He was born December 1, 1931 at Mill Creek, WV, a son of the late Melvin and Missouria Martin Pritt. On September 17, 1955 he was united in marriage to the former Stella Ellen Taylor who survives at their residence near Junior.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children, Ronald Pritt and wife Johnene, Donald Pritt , Melvin Pritt and wife Ginger, Christina Pritt, Richard Pritt and companion Karen, Virginia Moore and husband Steven, Jeff Pritt and wife Annie, Edith Moore and husband Billy, and Peter Pritt all of Junior. Also surviving are one sister, Anna Belle Burnside of Elkins, 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritt was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Lou Pritt, four siblings Arlene Pritt, Charlie Pritt, Zonie Pritt, Brilla Howell, one half-brother, Joe Pritt and one granddaughter, Shyanne Pritt.

Mr. Pritt attended the schools of Randolph County. He was a farmer, and was employed by Coastal Lumber Co. and was a logger. He enjoyed doing mechanic work and formerly pastored the Riverside Church in Junior. He was a Pentecostal by faith.

Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 11 am -1 pm the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastors Charles and Sue Herron officiating. Interment will then follow in the Pritt-Moore Family Cemetery at Junior. Memorial contributions may be made to the Talbott Funeral Home to assist with the cost of funeral arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.talbottfuneralhome.com. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Lilbern Pritt.
